About Us

Meet Our Therapists

Welcome to Insight Therapeutic Services

Insight Therapeutic Services was founded 2017. Today, the practice is home to 6 therapists. We’re relationship-builders, and we’re all committed to supporting our clients through life’s challenges, as well as victories.

As a group practice, we share core values. Yet each of us partners with clients in uniquely personal ways. We have different modalities and different areas of focus, and that’s why we’ve come together—to provide you with an array of options for therapeutic care.

Whether you’re seeking individual, couples, or family counseling, we hope you can find the support you’ve been looking for with one of our licensed therapists. This process works best when you have a sincere connection. So, first and foremost, you’ll want to identify a therapist who feels like a good fit! After that, they can help you move forward with a framework that compliments both of your perspectives.

Shira Belkov, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Master of Social Work-The University of Michigan

(317) 210-0183

shira@insighttherapeuticllc.com

I’m a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in individual and family therapy. I started

my social work career in the child welfare setting and developed an interest in working with

families and youth going through the adoption process. I enjoyed supporting families who

wanted to adopt both domestically and internationally and am mindful of the benefits and

emotional obstacles this process can have on the family system as a whole. After receiving my

Masters Degree in Child Welfare, and working in the field for several years, I wanted to broaden

my clinical skills within a school setting and received my school social work certification from

Loyola University in Chicago.

I’ve worked in several different school settings with a focus on supporting students with learning

challenges, emotional issues, and behavioral needs that were impacting their learning. In both the

private practice and school settings I enjoyed facilitating social/emotional groups for students

struggling with anxiety, depression, and sensory regulation challenges. Currently I work part

time in a therapeutic school program as a family/adult therapist and enjoy supporting caregivers

as they work to balance the emotional and educational needs of their kids. I utilize a strength-

based, psychodynamic approach and believe strongly that seeking support through our inevitable

challenges helps strengthen our resilience for the future. I’m available for sessions both in person

and through teletherapy. Hope to meet you soon!
